The phonics scheme used at Delapre Primary School is Read Write Inc.  Information about this scheme can be found here:-

Parent guide to Read Write Inc. Phonics - Oxford Owl

As soon as the children start in Reception, they are taught phonics.  Their learning in phonics is then progressively built on and continues into Year 1, 2 and possibly beyond.  Read Write Inc. is used consistently by all our staff trained to teach it.

Here is an information booklet about how we teach Read Write Inc.  It also has some ideas of how to help your child at home.

RE Progression Map

Parents and carers must inform the school if they wish to withdraw their child from RE lessons and/or worship. We strongly encourage parents and carers to review our curriculum, which is designed to be inclusive, relevant to all pupils, and respectful of personal beliefs before making their decision. To support this process, we welcome parents and carers to reach out to the school with any questions or concerns. We also encourage face-to-face conversations with staff to ensure parents have all the information they need to make an informed choice.
