Sports Day Changes

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to you with regards to sports days next week. The forecast for Monday and Tuesday does not look favourable to hold sports events on the field. Therefore, we would like to make a change as follows.

* The Reception/KS1 events that should have taken place on Monday next week, will now take place on Tuesday 16^th June.

* The KS2 events that should have taken place on Tuesday next week, will now take place on Friday instead (22nd May).

KS2 track races will still take place next Thursday as originally planned.

The arrangements for each day remain the same as previously communicated…

Please make sure your child is wearing full outdoor PE kit when they come in to school. Children can remain in PE kit throughout the remainder of the school day.

Please apply sun cream to your child before they arrive at school and ensure they have a sun hat and extra water with them.

All events will take place on the school field. You are very welcome to come along and support your child at these events. Access may be obtained via the walkway to the right of the school office, then through the car park to the field. Sports days will be completed by approximately 12:00pm.

If you have a pushchair or wheelchair, access is via the Briar Hill Walk gate.

Please avoid parking on Briar Hill Walk and Briar Hill Road respecting our neighbours.

I realise that no-one has a crystal ball and when we wake up on Monday morning the forecast may well have improved. However, I am eager to try to give as much notice as possible to you so that you can hopefully make your own arrangements.
