Educational Opportunities

The staff and governors of Delapre Primary School are committed to an equal educational opportunities policy, and will act positively to ensure that all pupils are treated fairly and receive equal access to educational opportunity regardless of race, gender, religious belief, social background or disability.

Children with a physical disability can receive equal access to educational opportunity, providing their disability is compatible with the physical structure of the school site and consultation with the supporting agencies. We are at present in consultation with I.E.A. representatives working to improve accessibility, with the possibility of ramps in order to make all the buildings accessible for wheelchairs. A toilet has been converted for use by adults and children with disabilities.
